Model CD11
When stability on uneven ground is important, nothing operates as safely as CanDig. Acreage owners and mining exploration companies choose the CD11 based on its stability and portability. The right choice for Landscapers who need the competitive edge for all their digging needs, including anything from footings for retaining walls, to planting trees or installing water lines. The CD11 tows easily with a small car, quad, or even pushed by hand. The CD11 was actually designed to be towed in one load using a small helicopter. At only 840 pounds, the CD11 causes little damage to surrounding lawns or other sensitive areas. At the same time, you will be pleased with the 2600 pounds of break-out force generated by the 5.5 horse power Honda engine. Numerous included and optional accessories add great value and versatility to your investment. Use your access wheels to allow the CD11 to slip through yard gates. The thumb allows you to pick up rocks or logs weighing over 1000 pounds, and place them where you wish. Your new CD11 also comes with a second, 6 inch wide trenching bucket. The “ripper” makes tough digging easier, and it doubles as a root cutter. Fenders, lights and a safety tow chain make it legal for towing on public highways. Model CD21
Need more power? The CD21 provides 3000 pounds of breakout force, and uses a 9 horse power Honda engine. Weighing 1200 pounds, the CD21 is capable of digging seven feet deep through tough rocky ground with ease. Note that the CD21 can be easily and quickly broken into two loads of 700/500 pounds to be transported by a small helicopter (a long ranger helicopter will haul it in one load). Enjoy all the benefits that the CD11 offers.....numerous accessories add great value and versatility to your investment. Use your access wheels to allow the CD21 to slip through yard gates. The thumb allows you to pick up rocks or logs weighing up to a ton, and place them where you wish. Your new CD21 also comes with an 8 inch wide trenching bucket. The “ripper” accessory allows you to dig through frozen or tough ground easier, and it also acts as a root cutter. Also available with both models are travel lights, fenders, safety chain, and retractable tounge wheel. Trenching Bucket
The CD11 comes with one bucket, and another two optional buckets. The first is 12 inches wide and has a capacity of 1 cubic feet. The second, trenching bucket is only 6 inches wide and is ideal for installing cables or sprinkler systems. The grading bucket can be used to clean up. The CD21 also comes with one bucket, and another two optional buckets. The first is 13 inches wide (but deeper than the CD11 bucket), and has a capacity of about 2 cubic feet. The second trenching bucket is 8 inches wide and is great for digging down 7 feet to install water lines. The grading bucket can be used to clean up. Access Wheels
The CD11 has access wheels that pin onto the Mini Excavator in seconds, allowing it to become 28 inches wide. They are sturdy, steel wheels which allow you to push the Mini Excavator by hand, or use the hydraulic power to move it through those tight spots. The CD21 has a similar set of access wheels that can pin on quickly to allow the Mini Excavator to also become only 28 inches wide. Thumb
The thumb is available with both the CD11 and CD21. It is a mechanical thumb that can be pinned in a retracted position for storage, and will always be available for use by quickly and easily re-pinning it into its work position. Ripper
The ripper is attached to the bottom of the trenching bucket, and allows CanDig to dig through frozen, or tough ground easier.
For 2006, the ripper has been modified so that it also acts as a root cutter.
Also available with either model are the wood splitter, auger and automatic hydraulic stabilizers, all of which use quick-connects to tap into the existing hydraulics.
